BANGKOK: A Malaysian man is in custody in Bangkok in relation to a burglary in Bang Kapi district in which valuables belonging to three Marshall Islands businessmen were stolen. The Malaysian man, whose name has not been released, was allegedly identified on CCTV camera recordings in the neighbourhood. He was arrested on Sunday night at Don Mueang Airport about to leave the country, a police source said on Monday. Five gold necklaces worth Bt3mil (RM373,790), five gold necklaces with jade pendants worth Bt300,000 (RM37,379) , 28 Rolex watches worth Bt4.2mil (RM523,488), a Buddha amulet with gold necklace worth Bt5 million, and US$4,000 (RM15,928) in cash were stolen. They said they left the house at 7.30pm on Friday for a business meeting and returned to find their house had been burglarised.
