KUALA LUMPUR: The youth are sick and tired of the old guard in the Malaysian political scene and want a fresh scenario, says the Malaysian Youth Council (MYC). “Even the council is exhausted with the political scenario in the country,” said MYC president Jufitri Joha. He was referring to rumours that Khairy, Rafizi and Nurul Izzah might be planning to form a new political party, which they have denied. “However, the message is clear that youth want a truly new and fresh political landscape instead of one that is dominated by political veterans,” he added. The MYC also said that it too would wish to sit down and engage these leaders.
