KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will continue pushing for support to the Palestinian cause based on principles and international law, deputy Foreign minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merica said. All countries were called to refrain from establishing their embassies in Jerusalem at the 10th Emergency Special Session at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly on Palestine on Thursday. “Alhamdulillah, from the UN General Assembly meeting, it was affirmed that any steps that will affect the status of Jerusalem are null and void. “Malaysia was also one of the 16 countries selected on delivering a national statement during the Emergency Special Session. We have put in the motion for the Emergency Special Session of the UN General Assembly on Palestine back in 1997.
