According to International Living, among the top six countries that obtained the best ratings in the category of Best Healthcare in the World, for this year, Malaysia ranked first; with its world-class healthcare services and sophisticated infrastructure. Malaysia has 13 Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited hospitals and almost all their doctors are fluent in English. Another Asian country, Thailand, also made the list. Coming in at number three, Thailand boasts a private healthcare system consisting of a large number of well-equipped, state-of-the-art hospitals. “Thailand leads the way in medical tourism for Southeast Asia,” says Michael Cullen, International Living’s Thailand Correspondent.
