KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 1): While Malaysia remains an attractive destination for investments, the country's image of a "corrupted nation" has to be dealt with in order to remain a choice investment destination, said Axis REIT Managers Bhd's head of investments Siva Shanker. While fundamentals remain strong, Siva told a property market seminar here today that it is still pertinent to address the perception issue faced by Malaysia. "If we don't sort out this bad publicity, we will become less and less attractive to foreign investors," he said. Meanwhile, Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) Lifestyle Quarter managing director Stuart Mendel said Malaysia is still an attractive market for international companies, based on the country's strong projected economic growth. "From Lendlease's perspective — we are an international firm and we are currently investing in Malaysia ù yes, Malaysia continues to be attractive.
