Malaysia and China continue robust 50-year bilateral relations, to flourish well into future


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia and China have developed a robust relationship that continues to flourish in commerce, investment, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people ties. Dr Wee highlighted that the enduring friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect between Malaysia and China have lasted for five decades. Apart from the Chinese delegation, the luncheon was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Transport Minister Anthony Loke, and Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu. Other attendees included Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir, and Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing. Malaysia's diplomatic relations with China have only strengthened since the bilateral relationship was upgraded to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2013.
