KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 17): Malaysia Airlines Bhd saw its load factor surging to 90% in December last year, a five-year high, Bloomberg reported today. This compares to the national carrier's load factor of 79.3% for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2016 (3Q2016), which grew from 74% in 3Q2015. Saying the worst is "most definitely" over for Malaysia Airlines, Bellew said the company is planning to relist on Bursa by the first quarter of 2019. "We’ve seen a huge change,” he said, adding the company should post profit in 2018 and that China is “massive opportunity” for Malaysia Airlines. Bellew reiterated Malaysia Airlines will avoid looming into low-fares price war this year.
