Briefcase 1 AirAsia flight flew it's passengers to Melbourne instead of Malaysia. 3 Air Safety investigation revealed that flights management system was outdated. "Attempts to troubleshoot and rectify the problem resulted in further degradation of the navigation system, as well as to the aircraft's flight guidance and flight control systems." The investigation also revealed that aircraft was not fitted with an upgraded flight management system and that added fuel to the bedlam in the flight. The plane spent three hours on the ground in Melbourne to rectify the problem before departing for Malaysia and it arrived six hours behind schedule.
