GEORGE TOWN: Several Malay non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have lodged a police report against a Facebook user for allegedly insulting the Malays on social media. National Malay Students Federation information chief Azdy Mohd Arshad said a Facebook user posted the insulting comment on the Penang My Hometown Facebook page. “The comment is an insult to the Malays. Azdy Mohd said it was regrettable that the comment was made on Malaysia Day, a day when the people should show respect to one another. “The Facebook user should not have made such a comment as it could cause racial tension among other races.”A check of the Penang My Hometown page showed that the comment had since been removed.
