The 21-year-old centre-back left hometown club Nice earlier this summer, and has now become the latest to join Frank Lampard’s Stamford Bridge rejuvenation project. Sarr will head straight out on loan, but Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia hailed the France Under-21 international as a “tremendous prospect”. Welcome to Chelsea, Malang Sarr! The quarantine period will prove a disruption to manager Lampard’s pre-season plans, with Chelsea still assimilating their new arrivals.
