Malacca's Mat Jantan credits human faeces for business growth - Nation

MALACCA: A 57-year-old man from Malacca saw an opportunity in human faeces and garbage which he believes caused his business to grow. “My friends considered the business as dirty and stinky but I saw a gold mine in the industry," said Mat Jantan who rewarded locals as a show of gratitude to them for defecating. "I am rewarding the locals as I am what I am today because of their faeces," he said. Mat added that he employed eight workers and worked with them to ensure that he fulfilled the requirements of the local authorities. “Some come with degrees to seek employment in my company but theyfail to show determination in simple tasks and are unwilling to work," said Mat.
