Making sense of the censusSUPPLIED Filling in the census can raise some big questions. My census letter appeared in the letterbox the other day, and I examined it with a mixture of intrigue and trepidation. However, the census requires a label, because when a census asks you what you do all day, you can't just wave your arms vaguely at your house and kids and say, "This". I'd worked (in the conventional, paid sense) my whole life, sometimes two or (during one brief and chaotic time) even three jobs at once. When I clicked through to the census website (the family manager knows that the household's census forms must be completed on or before March 6), it asked me many things.
