The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) is preparing the third phase of worksheets and handbook for teachers for preschool children in the State. The first-phase worksheets and the handbook titled Kalipattam are being printed for distribution in the first term in the coming academic year. The second-phase worksheets are also ready and will be printed in time for the second term. 30 themesThe worksheets have 30 themes — 10 for each term — that focus on children’s development in five areas — psychomotor development, language development, cognitive development, development of creative expression and aesthetic appreciation, and social and emotional development. This will be the time to introduce a second worksheet that will focus on how the family lives together.
