ADEMOLA BABALOLAGovernor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Saturday said his government had uncovered N150bn debt within his first 30 days in office. Makinde, who made the revelation during a media chat on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State to mark his one month in office, threatened to expose his predecessor, Abiola Ajimobi, if he continued to disturb his administration. He said a sum of N1.3bn seized from past government officials by the Federal Government would be retrieved to tackle some education sector problems. He, however, said the debt put at $500m would not stop him from executing his campaign promises made to the people. He said, “We have confirmed N150bn debt so far.
