The museum invited people to create a matariki wishing star or dress a paper doll, programme and events co-ordinator Suzanne Caulton said. The event was designed mostly for children, but often teenagers and adults would sit down with a young family member and have ‘‘just as much fun as the kids’’. A selection of real designs from iD Emerging Designer finalists were printed out for people to decorate their paper dolls, she said. The makerspace runs during school holidays until July 27.
