During recent months, it is clear that different groups have interpreted the draft charter in different ways, including how it will affect future politics, public administration, human rights, and relationship between the state and its citizens. It is unfortunate that the draft charter has been the subject of debate more for its content than how its approval or rejection will affect the political situation. Thai nationals who are aged 18 and above must find a copy of the draft charter, read it carefully, and make a decision on whether to approve it or not before going to vote tomorrow. Since most, if not all, of the opinions and lines of reasoning on the draft are essentially conjecture, they must be considered carefully. Informed choices are crucial for the referendum to be accepted both domestically and internationally.
