MANILA, Philippines — The Makati City government on Tuesday afternoon started deploying shuttle buses to ferry doctors, nurses, and other employees of the city-run Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) to and from the hospital. Makati Mayor Abby Binay said the local government wants to ensure continuous operations of the health facility despite the suspension of public transportation in the entire Luzon under the enhanced community quarantine that will end on April 12. “Employees going home from work will also be picked up from designated areas near OsMak and dropped off near their homes,” it added. Meanwhile, health workers of the Makati Health Department in their personal protective equipment have continued to conduct disinfection operations daily in public places in various villages.
