THE city governments of Makati and Parañaque announced on Monday the extension of the deadline for the payment of taxes to January 31. “We are giving our taxpayers more time to comply with requirements for the renewal of their business permits and payment of taxes due. On the other hand, a 10-percent discount is given to non-delinquent taxpayers of real property tax who will pay for the full year on or before the January 31 deadline. Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez urged taxpayers to take advantage of the extended deadline for payment of business taxes, permits, and licenses. He said that officials decided to extend the renewal of business permits after learning that the city’s Business Permits and Licensing Office had received numerous business permits registration and renewal.
