Share TweetBy Ellalyn De Vera-RuizAround eight in 10 Filipinos believe there are “ninja cops” among the police force who are involved in the selling of illegal drugs that they confiscate during anti-drug operations, according to the fourth quarter 2019 Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey results. In the nationwide survey conducted from Dec. 13 to 16, 2019 with 1,200 adult respondents, SWS found that 78 percent of Filipinos believe the accusation that there are “ninja cops” among the members of the police force (46 percent strongly believe, 32 percent somewhat believe). Seven percent do not believe the accusation (4 percent somewhat do not believe, 3 percent strongly do not believe), while 15 percent were undecided about the matter. SWS also asked respondents their opinion on the number of “ninja cops” in the police force.
