There will be a number of major road closures in Vancouver in the last remaining weekends of summer due to construction and filming. They include full road closures well into the afternoon and evening for major downtown routes for the weekend of Aug. 26 and Labour Day weekend on the following routes. Saturday, August 26:4am to 1pm PT: full road closure of West Georgia Street from West Pender to Seymour. Burrard Bridge upgradeThe city also says there will be major road closures in the weeks ahead due to construction, particularly the Burrard Bridge upgrade project, where crews will be paving the area over the next two weekends. Sunday, August 27:7am to 6pm: one lane each direction on Burrard Street will be retained from the Burrard Bridge deck to Drake Street.
