Major monuments across the UK are set to light up this April to raise awareness of a rare genetic syndrome. The CSNK2A1 Foundation has gathered its ‘biggest ever’ list of monuments which will turn green and blue on Sunday, April 5 for Okur-Chung Neurodevelopmental Syndrome (OCNDS). The syndrome was first discovered in 2016 and is caused by a change in the CSNK2A1 gene, located in chromosome 20. Windsor resident Kirsty Whitehill, a student at Manor Green School is among those with the syndrome. A total of 30 monuments will light up in the Foundation’s green and blue colours across the UK and Ireland and 44 globally.
