Major fishing competition for St Patrick's festivalThe Croí na hEireann Trout Fishing Competition scheduled for Friday, March 18 next is sponsored by Ganly's of Athlone, Longford and Mountbellew. The competition is coordinated by the Lough Ree Angling Federation and is open to all angling clubs in the federation with the proceeds going to the upkeep and maintenance of the 'Access for all' fishing boat on Lough Ree. "I am delighted to have the opportunity to help out the Festival Committee in any way I can and to support the community that supported us over the last few difficult years," said Mr Ganly. "We wish tight lines and safe fishing to all who take part and continued success to the Festival Committee," he concluded.
