Today’s (February 18) meeting of the council’s Cabinet Committee for Local Issues met to discuss proposals which make up part of a casualty reduction scheme covering the Moor Lane/Delph Lane/ Netherton Moor Road junction. One incident resulted in serious injuries due to poor visibility when exiting the junction. It’s a road I know reasonably well and I wouldn’t dream of going down there at school kicking out time…“It is quite a dangerous junction from my own experience. You’ve got to be careful edging out into the road because the sight lines aren’t great when vehicles are parked.
