For the first time, a female Bangladeshi army officer, Major Sanjida Hossain, is going to attend the United States Army’s Command and General Staff College course. In a Facebook post on Friday, the US Embassy in Dhaka congratulated Major Sanjida for her achievement. The post also read that Major Sanjida would be joined by her husband and daughter in Kansas. According to the post, this one-year course at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas prepares promising officers for leadership responsibilities in a strategic security environment during wartime and peacetime.
