Workers at the Cambridge and Woodstock plants voted last Friday and Monday; 278 workers voted no, 238 voted yes, with two spoiled ballots. Maintenance workers at Toyota have voted against forming a union in a vote tallied on Wednesday. Currently there are no unionized workers at Toyota facilities in North America. "We gave it a valiant effort but….we were not successful this time around," said John Aman, Unifor's Director of Organizing. The union has made a number of failed attempts to organize workers at Toyota's plants.
