NewsThe main suspect wanted in connection with the double murder in Deraniyagala has been taken into police custody. The suspect, aged 19 years, was arrested while allegedly hiding inside the Sri Pada Forest Reserve. A 7-year-old girl and 45-year-old man were found hacked to death inside a house in Magala, Deraniyagala on Monday (6) night. The child's mother also sustained serious injuries in the attack and was admitted to the Avissawella Hospital for treatment.
