I believe the latest problems with the Leafs started when Leafs president Brendan Shanahan chose Kyle Dubas over Lou Lamoriello. Maybe it's my eyes but I think other teams have improved their speed to match the Leafs. I’m simply trying to relay how Dubas and the Leafs think. How is it that the sports’ journalists didn’t know or turned a blind eye to the fact that the Maple Leafs’ players had stopped playing for Babcock? Now, this can happen at lower level hockey too, but the stakes are not as high.
