BJP President Amit Shah's helicopter made an emergency landing at Ozar Airport in Maharashtra's Nashik on Saturday as he was on his way to address a poll rally in Akole. While the BJP has fieled Bhosale for the bypoll, the NCP has placed its bets on Shriniwas Patil. NCP is contesting the Maharasthra Assembly elections in alliance with the Congress with both parties fielding candidates from 125 assembly seats each. The ruling BJP is contesting the election in an alliance with the Shiv Sena. The polling for assembly elections in Maharashtra's 288 seats will be held on October 21.
