Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019: FIR against NCP's Dhananjay Munde for 'obscene remarks' on cousin Pankaja

Maharashtra police has registered an FIR against NCP leader Dhananjay Munde for allegedly making obscene remarks against his cousin and state minister Pankaja Munde at a recent election rally, an official said on Sunday. A video that purportedly shows Dhananjay making obscene remarks went viral on social media after which a Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader from Parli in Beed district filed a complaint against him, the official added. The NCP leader, however, denied the allegations and said that the video clip has been edited. The cousins are contesting against each other in the Maharashtra Assembly Polls from the Parli constituency in the Marathawada region of Beed. While Pankaja is the daughter of late BJP stalwart Gopinath Munde, Dhananjay is his nephew.
