He said it would be delusional for anybody to think that Mahama could snatch power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2020 elections. “John Mahama is a leader who is not popular. Mr. Mahama had reportedly met several power brokers in the NDC in recent times and was able to convince them to rally behind him so that his dream of becoming the NDC flag-bearer again would be a foregone conclusion. However, persons within his [Mahama] circles have denied the media reports making rounds.
