A disgusted Muntari reacted by walking off the pitch and leaving Pescara with ten men for the final few minutes of the match. Former Ghana President John Dramani Mahama took to his twitter handle to back his compatriot for his actions. Meanwhile, Ex-Tottenham striker Garth Crooks says "every self-respecting black player" in the Italian league should strike this weekend unless Sulley Muntari's one-match suspension is withdrawn.
