He said ex-president Mahama’s comments can persuade members of the opposition NDC to take power into their own hands and act in an unlawful manner. According to him former President John Dramani Mahama could have engaged President Akufo-Addo in a discussion to settle the matter in a peaceful and matured way than making comments that could cause fear and panic. Former President John Dramani Mahama while addressing some NDC supporters on a campaign tour in the Volta Region said the NDC could match the governing NPP "boot for boot" when it comes to violence. the NDC has revolutionary roots and that when it comes to unleashing violence, nobody can beat us in unleashing violence,” he said.
