Mumbai, July 11 (PTI) In a bid to revamp the Maharashtra Congress, its president Ashok Chavan has dissolved 12 non-performing cells under the party unit. According to the party leader, Chavan, a former chief minister, had been taking a review of all the cells of the Congress since the past one week. A few cells remained non-functional due to these non-performing leaders and hence these cells were dissolved by Chavan, the leader said. "Chavan wants to appoint fresh and young leaders keeping in mind the 2019 assembly and Lok Sabha polls. Senior Congress leader and former Union minister P Chidambaram will kick off a party campaign against the recently-launched Goods and Services Tax (GST) from Pune.
