The replacement prop scored a last ditch try to power Hawke's Bay to a thrilling 29-28 win against Bay of Plenty in Napier on Saturday afternoon. With the bonus point win comes Battle of the Bays bragging rights, and a seven-point buffer at the top of the championship section. Hawke's Bay got a quick-fire Brad Weber double early in the second half, having gone into the sheds 13-8 down, despite playing with a handy breeze behind them. It was just Hawke's Bay's third home win since the start of the 2016 season.
