Magoha warns underperforming staff, threatens sackEducation Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha (pictured) has said non-performing staff will be dismissed and replaced with those who can assist the ministry in realising its programmes. Magoha insisted the key priorities in the ministry, including realisation of the Competency Based Curriculum, quality assurance, free primary education and integrity in national examinations, needed competent staff committed to work. He instructed the directorates to conduct regular inspections in schools to establish if government resources were being utilised properly. The CS said progress report of the Competency Based Curriculum implementation of the first term would be used to guide a better rollout of improved the curriculum in the second term.
