A magnitude 3.9 earthquake was reported Tuesday at 6:33 a.m. 11 miles from Soledad, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake occurred 17 miles from Hollister, 18 miles from Greenfield, 21 miles from Salinas and 24 miles from Prunedale. In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 6.2 miles.
