A magnitude 3.8 earthquake was reported Friday morning at 10:26 a.m. Pacific time nine miles from Santa Paula, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake occurred nine miles from San Buenaventura (Ventura), Calif., 14 miles from Oxnard, Calif., 15 miles from Fillmore, Calif., and 16 miles from Camarillo, Calif. In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10.6 miles.
