Bed bugs triggered 17 special pest control call-outs at Auckland District Health Board facilities last year, up from just two incidents the year before. SUPPLIED Possums and wasps were among the creatures involved in call-outs costing Auckland DHB thousands of dollars. Maggots caused a $100 special call-out at the Early Child & Development Centre in Greenlane in 2017. A dead possum was removed from Manawanui Māori Mental Health centre near Schnapper Rock on March 6 this year.
