The suspected drug mule was arrested on Thursday, 6 June during an operation conducted by the Hawks’ South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau team, in conjunction with Border Police based at CTIA. Police spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Siyabulela Vukubi, said that the suspected drug mule, a foreign national, was traced to the airport, and his luggage was searched. The Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) praises Hawks and Border Police for the arrest of a drug mule at Cape Town International Airport. “ACSA would like to congratulate the law enforcement agencies involved in this operation and thank them for their ongoing work and dedication to stamping out the smuggling of illicit drugs across our borders. Our commitment involves rigorous security measures, continuous monitoring, and close collaboration with law enforcement agencies to prevent and address any threats.
