However, overall, his intent deserves an applause as Madaari shames the trend of rising apathy that is often misconstrued as resilience. movieIntriguingly stoic, a mysterious man (Irrfan as Nirmal Kumar) kidnaps the Home Minister's (Tushar Dalvi) son Rohan. He tries too hard to be ambiguous at times, when a simple storytelling could have been as effective. He demands that the Minister and his team must go looking for his missing son first in order to get Rohan back. The socio-political drama doesn't scream for justice, it shames the culprits instead. However, more than its social relevance, the highlight of Madaari is Irrfan's awe-inspiring performance.
