Several Cebu Pacific flights were cancelled on Friday due to the temporary closure of a runway at the Mactan Cebu International Airport, which has been implementing minor maintenance work and pavement repairs. ADVERTISEMENTThe six-hour runway closure might also delay flights to and from the following destinations:DomesticClark, Davao, Ozamiz, Bacolod, Dipolog, Pagadian, Busuanga, Dumaguete, Puerto Princesa, Butuan, Iloilo, Siargao, Cagayan, Kalibo, Surigao, Caticlan, Legazpi, Tacloban, Camiguin, and Ormoc. “We sincerely hope for our passengers’ understanding as this situation is beyond our control,” the management of Cebu Pacific said in its advisory. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) had released a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM)on the runway closure from 2:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Friday, affecting scheduled Cebu Pacific flights in Manila.
