A Machakos MCA aspirant was attacked on Monday night by people who stole his nomination papers and then burned his car. Muya said the three demanded that he surrender his papers which he was to present to the commission on Tuesday. He said he heard a loud bang minutes later and found his car burning when he returned to check. Noting the gang neither stole nor harmed him, the aspirant said he believed the attack was politically motivated. The incident comes amid investigations into the killing of Kapsoya MCA aspirant James Ratemo's three children.
