Prof Abdille was the deputy vice-chancellor in charge of administration, finance and planning at the time of the scandal. “The university council asked me whether I was ready to be part of them but I said I will not be part of them. In the event the MPs reject Prof Abdille, Mr Mbuno will continue to act. Prof Abdille, who told the MPs that he is worth Sh11.1 million, noted that he acted within the law as the court reinstated him to his job. The council did not honour an attempt by Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha to have Prof Abdille reinstated.
