By the end of the first lap, Hamilton was over three seconds ahead of Stroll. At the end of the second lap, Bottas got in and took on mediums while Leclerc put on the softs. In the subsequent lap, both Renaults went in and so did Verstappen who inherited second behind Hamilton. Hamilton led the 150th race of his career and finished in the points for the 36th consecutive race, both being records.
