The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is investigating a spate of incidents of people pulling the brakes on moving subway cars, endangering riders and causing delays, officials said. Andy Byford, president of New York City Transit Authority, said after an MTA board meeting on Wednesday that the agency was working with the New York Police Department to investigate the pattern of braking incidents and find the culprits, who will face criminal charges.
