KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 11): About 40% of the dealers of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) have begun efforts to comply with the Malaysia Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification as of to date, according to MSPO chief executive officer Mohamed Hafizin Mohamed Tajudin. He said FFB dealers have been showing encouraging progress throughout the certification process at various stages across the process. “So far, I would say the efforts that have been taken by the FFB dealers have been really encouraging. On Tuesday, Minister of Plantation and Commodities Datuk Dr Noraini Ahmad said as part of Malaysia’s national response, a key policy reform is the expansion of MSPO certification to include FFB dealers. “FFB dealers are the key link between independent smallholders and mills.
