As of 8:25 a.m., the said defective train gained traction,” the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said in a Twitter advisory. The MRT-3 unloaded approximately 700 passengers of its northbound train, DOTr said. DOTr said that the electrical failure in train’s motor was due to worn-out electrical sub-components including chopper, regulator, or insulator.
