–Party’s Convener Siddiqui says Sindh has already been divided with implementation of quota system by PPP govtKARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Saturday demanded Prime Minister Imran Khan to intervene in Sindh to rescue the province in the aftermath of 18th Amendment. “In the name of so-called provincial autonomy, resources of people were snatched,” he lambasted. Public and the MQM were betrayed as the 18th Amendment came into effect, Siddiqui complained while calling for the transfer of provincial resources to the grass-root level. He said the categorization of urban and rural areas [of Sindh] is now been defined merely by linguistic differences. “All commissioners, deputy commissioners and other officials of Karachi belong to the interior Sindh,” this quota system is giving rise to the hatred in urban areas of the province, the MQM-P chief said.
