The High Court has declined to stop next Thursday's swearing-in of Senators and MPs. Lobby groups CREAW and CRAWN Trust sought the order saying the incoming Houses have violated the constitution in failing to implement the two-thirds gender rule. The activists noted the Houses have violated the rights of women to equality and freedom from discrimination.
