MPs on Thursday threw out the National Environment Management Authority (Nema) report accusing the government agency of siding with an air polluter. The LDK was indicted by a 2018 report of the Environment Committee which directed that it complies with a number of measures or be shut after six months in case of non-compliance. MPs protested an attempt by Nema boss to table a report giving the distiller a clean bill of health. “Why do I feel that there is a collision between Nema and LDK on this matter. “This Committee directed that you get an independent entity to carry out the assessment.
